The Minnesota DOT converted an existing HOV lane to an HOT lane on I-35W. The new I-35W MnPASS Express Lanes opened September 30. Solo motorists with a valid Mn PASS account can shoose to pay a toll to access the express lanes. Carpools with two or more occupants, motorcycles, and transit buses can still use the express lanes free of charge during tolling hours.
