Abstract:
The N-VI corridor, located in Madrid Region NW sector (see Figure 1) is one of the main radial accesses to the city of Madrid. It has experienced a consistent population growth over the last years (33.1% from 1996 to 2001). It also has a number of other characteristics like its high environmental standards, lower housing density (635.5 inhabitants/km^2), higher motorization rater (413 vehicles/1000 inhabitants) and hgiher income-level than the rest of the Region. This, all aoghter has influenced the decision of implementing a BUS/HOV lane in the N-VI motorway
