Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) are becoming still more popular with The Danish Road Directorate (DRD) when it comes to traffic management during major motorway construction works. In this article, the impactsof the various ITS applications on the M3 motorring are presented. Applications were implemented due to the widening of the motorring from four to six lanes.
